Sandboxes AVC

'Sandboxes AVC' was an audio-visual collaborative performance. Teresa Almeida synthesized video using a modified version of my custom Gesture Painter video synthesis software. Meanwhile, I generated a soundscape routing the clicks of needles at the end records through signal processing, sampling, and mixing hardware. It was performed live at the Loews Theater at the Tisch School of Art, New York University.

The performance illustrated the concept of a shared artistic play space. It was a demonstration of some future goals of the Sandbox platform for audio-visual play and collaboration. Multiple Sandbox touch screen interfaces will drive Sound Canvas and Gesture Painter software that share input across a network to co-create live improvised audio and video.
